CO2 disffusion methods...
Hi,
I'm aiming to change my CO2 in my big tank. I started with the JBL reactor that came with the kit. It seemed to do the job but when the bubbles had climbed up the run and accumulated in the top it would periodically do a big bubble off gas. So i thought this to be a bit too wasteful. I bought one of those nice glass disffusers which ive been running for the last 5 months. Only hitch ive had with it was when the algae on the top blocked off the pores for a night and i had to sand it. I do still get some patches of plants which seem to get bba for no real reason. I'm thinking the CO2 doesnt get around the tank well enough.... Now i'm thinking id like to get the CO2 directly into the external fluval 305 cannister to be pounded to bits by the impeller and wooshed around the tank by the water flow. Would running the co2 tube down the intake be the best way of doing this? or does anyone have a funky trick i can use for this make of filter? Additionally does this sound like the best way of getting the CO2 evenly spread around my tank? Thanks, John |

This is a very good diffusion method that many of us use. It's also a cheap, simple little DIY project to do.
