Would I have to use co2 if I got the 30" 24/7 for my 56 gallon column tank? It's 24" tall & 18" wide. Or would it be better to get the 24?"

I believe , based on what others are posting in terms of PAR, you'll be at the lower end of medium light (30+ PAR). Roughly around 40 at substrate as an estimate. Co2 or constant regular dosing of liquid carbon (like glut or excel) will be very beneficial to keep your plants thriving and algae at bay.

On the first post of this thread, the P+ 24/7 Club, there's some useful links to PAR data that was recorded.
