Gee, the drop checker is a bit :)

Is the solenoid going into a ph controller or timer? I like the idea of the needle valve. Mine doesn't have that and it would be handy.
 
I have an ADA 60p (17g) as well... nice tank. I really enjoy mine.

GLA is definitely a good choice for regulators. Top-notch quality backed up by great customer service.

Those other glassware pieces are nice, but overpriced for what they are. If it won't hurt your pocketbook in anyway, go for it because Cal Aqua and ADA are quality.

But if you want to save money, you can find decent quality glassware (ada knock-off's) in eBay.. some are solid in-country while others ship from China.

I'm pretty sure you can get a very similar drop checker sold within the US via ebay. That diffuser, I have three very similar ones sold under NAG Aqua. If you don't mind waiting, they're sold for a fraction of the price shipped from China.
