my wife works at lowes.. i guessed home depot sucked.. lol

i have a 100w equivilant (26watt) in my sump on my saltwater tank.. algea is growing quite nicely.. it should be good enough for a medium light required plant,

just get a 2 bulb splitter and add a couple 26w bulbs over it. i got my daylight 23w bulbs 6500k at home depot. its better to have a couple lower light bulbs then one larger one. what size tank is this?

It was just to add to the 40 watts I already have over my 10 gallon. I had tossed the idea around before of adding light to my tank but I was a bit turned off by the DIY look. But then I noticed the desk lamp on my desk would work great and its a metalic silver outside and it reflects like fairly well in just one direction so I took of the base of the light did a little bit of rewiring and then attached it to a clip I had for the aquarium already and presto, extra light that still looks good lol.
