Creeping Jenny/green pennywort ground cover?

Hey I have a decent amount of creeping Jenny and I am wondering if you think it's possible to carpet or keep as a low growing ground cover?

I was going to try planting the stems parallel to the substrate and hold down with toothpicks till it roots. Do you think this would work?

You might be able to train it, but it tends to grow straight up when submeged.

Yeah i couldn't get older seems to stay down properly. In the end I picked off some new growth and am going to try it that way.
