All I have been battling with curling leaves.. Plant growth is good, plenty of new leaves etc.. But why on my plant - as pictured, are the leaves curling? ImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1412419964.429807.jpg

Tank - 1 - OFFICE
Aquascape - initial setup March 2014 and then rescape August 2014
CADE Tank 800 x 800 x 600 - 320 litre
Sump filtration - Long noodles, 3 Layers Filter Pads. Carbon
UVIEW sterilizer
CO2 with inline reactor
ADA fertilising
ADA soil setup
RAZOR LED lighting
Twinstar

Tank - 2 - HOME
Juwel 120 litre tank - setup Dec - 2010
Fluval 406, cannister
Inline reactor c02, compressed
LED lighting

Welp, I'm certainly no aquatic botanist... pretty sure the leaves are curling because the plant is drowning, put it in a pot on the front porch and I'll bet it makes a full revovery.

Where is the logic in your response? Aquatic plants are just that, not to be confused with garden plants that live on your porch..

What is the name of the plant in question??

I think Brookster meant maybe the plant doesnt look like an aquatic variety and therefore would do better out of the tank.

What is your fert dosing regime?

I don't think it's fully aquatic, where did you get it? What's it called? Oh yah.. what does logic have to do with anything? It's the internet..

The plant looks like crypt undulata. My second guess is wendtii green but the leaves are a bit too thin. Then again, I've observed differences in leave shape, size, and coloration with crypt wendtii red leaves when under medium light and abundant ferts/CO2 versus light light/fert no CO2 setups. Interestingly, growth was more petite, colorful, and consistent with the latter. Go figure.

The plant in question and as pasted in the image - is the crypt undulata.. Have been suggested to add supplements to the tank - as it may be lacking the traces required.. ADA STEP 3.. I will be adding in the next few days..

My only experience with that plant is under low light (dual T5 NO). No ferts or carbon. Root tabs every few months. Growth is slow but healthy.

My bad.. pasted tag did not show up for me.. maybe add a couple root tabs if you haven't already..

i am having a similar issue with some of my crypts like yours. not as extreme. i believe its due to high micros in the water.

Crypts draw most of their nutrients from their roots so it is best to use root tabs for their fertilization.

Placed some root tabs near the UNDULATA - will report back my findings in the next weeks..
