I got a new 75gallon tank, i put Aquadurt.com black substrate in it. I put the lone ornament i want in it. and i put water in I was going to start cycling using one of my other HoB filters but it wont fit. the 2 filters i have ordered for this tank should be here monday and tuesday. Will it be okay if it sits for a couple days w/o a filter? no fish in it.

Just take your filter from your other tank and squeeze it a bunch of times in the water that will get all the bacteria from the filter in your new tank.. I did that to my new 55G a few times using filters from my 27g hex and my 30g and its been only 4-5 days now and my nitrites are spiking and im seeing nitrates already. And pour some fish food in the tank to get the ammonia to start spiking
