Did i just kill my sword

ok i just transplanted one of my amazon sword plants from one tank to another. thing is what was one plant (i know it was one because i originally harvested it off a runner from my "mother" sword, is now 3 plants. i split it into 3, at the base, and with no effort.

is this bad?

is this normal?

I think you should be ok.

If you have nice root masses at the base of each you should be fine. I've done this quite a few times with nice results.

I do that all the time with my sword. Also works with most crypts and other similar plants.
