I read that you can use potassium pernanganate to disinfect plants but I can only find it online and it seems like its very hazardous to handle. Is there anything else I can use?

Neither, these plants are already in the tank. I treated my fish for an illness that has reoccoured. I read that disinfecting the plants in the tank could help with this.

Septicimia is a blood-born bacterial infection. I don't know how worried I would personally be about my plants carrying it. I suppose you could try a hydrogen peroxide dip *shrug* It can't hurt anything.

dont know about septicemia but i figure if you treat the tank for it it shouldnt still be on the plants. there is always bleach dips with 20 parts water 1 part bleach.
