Do dirted tanks need co2?

I was watching a video on YouTube abd this man said if you have a dirted tank you don't need co2 because it will not be good on the fish but the plants will go crazy. So I just thought i should check with you guys.
 
He's flat wrong. You'll still need CO2 if you have strong enough lighting. The substrate choice doesn't really play into it that much. He's also wrong about it being bad for the fish, assuming you're doing it right (which isn't that hard).
