I do use Google for almost everything.
The last time I had T12 bulbs is when I built my own fixture using BJB water proof end caps, four 48"bulbs, two brick size ballasts, a pair of 3 prong plugs and timers and a sheet of Mylar in a customer pine canopy. Had to buy a book on wiring to put this together. The only thing missing were fans because it cranked out a lot of heat. I was poor at the time and had to improvise. So much easier now to buy a fixture.

I was thinking of getting some fixtures at Home Depot to retro fit the lid, what specs should I look for? Also I bought the same style hood for my planted 20 tall, seeing as I can't run the better tube would adding a string of LEDs help?
