Hey, just bought API Leaf Zone. It says to only dose once a week, but can I dose more often? Will it be safe for fish/inverts?

Probably no need to dose it more often than once a bit is a trace/K mix. Definitely safe for inverts/fish.

Once for good, or once a week like the instructions say? =]

Lol sorry stupid iPad autocorrect strikes again. Once a week is good.

Okay. Will dosing more often cause any harm? I'm wondering because I am hoping that dosing will help algae grow, too.

Dosing too much trace will help with algae growth. It would be hard to od it to the point of harming the fish (within reason of course).

Okay, great. We dosed on Friday and again today, so it looks like we'll do it maybe twice a week?

Honestly. With our light on 10-12 hours a day, a T5HO lighting system, a tendency to overfeed...

You'd think we'd have some serious algae.

You will.... Just give it time. Lol

I assume you are trying to feed something with it?

Yeah. We have one hillstream loach, and added three otos because we saw a bloom start. They're doing okay, since the loach likes the algae wafers and the otos nibble the algae on the plant leaves and decorations, and the little bit that's on the back wall.

Here's a picture of the tank, mostly because I want to show it off:

Thanks! =D The ludwigia in the middle is really flourishing. It opened up and looks gorgeous under the t5's.
