eartheater owners, need some advice

Hope there are some eartheater owners out there that can give me some feedback on the habits of eartheaters. I know the name kind of gives it away, but can they be kept in a planted tank without ruining the aquascape. I have a 60 gallon with a few giant danios and such, bought a Micro sword and some anacharis today, have some bamboo and other swords.

Whether eartheater or some other cichlid...most likely plants will be dug up unless the fish are to small to make significant changes in the aquascape like dwarf cichlids.

They will move substrate around and uproot plants, yes.
