I am setting up another 55 gallon freshwater tank. I decided to try a substrate instead of gravel. I am so far disappointed that my tank is so cloudy. If you move anything, it makes the tank even cloudier-the substrate reminds me of mud. Will this tank ever clear up or should I dump it and start over?? Thanks.

It is normal, it can take 2-3 days top settle out, don't worry. This is not correct, I was incorrect you should have no cloudiness. You will see your other thread in the planted section.

I have co-complete and it took a while for it to clear up and settle down.. its totally worth it, especially if you plan on growing plants
