Eliminate snails/disease from new plants?

I've read that Jungle Clear Water (potassium permanganate), salt water, or dilute bleach solutions can be used as plant dips. Looking for something effective but not toxic to me, my fish, or my plants
Want to dip/rinse/revive new plants prior to planting in my new tank.
Does anyone have experience with these methods?

3 parts water..1 part 3% hydrogen peroxide..or so to say.. 3 cups of water to 1 cup of HP
