Hey guys, what plants aren't safe to use with excel. I've heard (and experienced) that anarcharis melts with excel, as do vals. Any other plants I shouldn't buy?

Thanks.

Why not avoid using Excel and get what plants you'd like?

Generally, it's a large dosage that melts sensitive plants-- if you dose sparingly, they do OK.

In a high light tank, excel or co2 is a must. Sometimes you just can't really pick and choose depending on your set up.

Utricularia Graminifolia will melt with excel.

All plants without stomata will melt with Excel (and bleach or H2O2 for that matter.) That would include all Vals & hornwort. I have tried Excel at 1/2 dose but those plants are still not too happy.
