If you see algae popping up, can you still use Excel to kill it even if you use a pressurized co2 system?

Don't know about pressurized co2, but I use it to kill algae.

Before I added CO2 I use to add 15 mL to my tank for a week or so, decrease lights and that usually does it. I don't want to overdose the tank though

What kind of algae are you trying to get rid of? What kind of lights and how long is the photo period? I used excel to spot treated a black algae which works, but also melted some dwarf sag. With the dwarf sag I dipped them in straight excel no dilution. They came back though.
