I've read this is an easier carpet plant but I've read a lot from sales people who want to sell something so I'm hoping for real life specifics to these questions:

1) does it root deep or is it easily pulled up by fish?

2) if my lighting caused dwarf hairgrass runners to float above the plant (possibly reaching for better lighting) rather than down below the substrate to actually carpet would this plant (Echinodorus tenellus) do better and actually grow without me constantly replanting or cleaning plants off the surface.

In this tank I have 8, t5 high output light bulbs and injected CO2. Despite a huge amount of light at the top of the tank the tank is deep. About 30 inches deep so my experience with dwarf hairgrass is it never created deep runners. I don't want a repeat of that and would rather save the money on these plants if you guys think it will be a repeat of my hairgrass experiment.
