Whaaaat from moss in your yard?! Lol if I got lucky enough to find a terrestrial moss that could convert I'd harvest all of it lol free moss!

Yeah it's pretty weird stuff I need to trim and lay it across some wood to see how it does that way.

Looks pretty similar to stringy moss, which I believe grows in North America too.

Yard moss will live submerged?? That'd be nice ... Living in Oregon it's our state flower.

If stringy moss is very course and stiff that may be it, this stuff could almost stand without water.

Interesting. I will have to keep an eye out for some after the thaw. Do you have a picture of it before going into your tank?
 
So the moss ended up trapping any piece of junk that happened to float by. Unable to actually get it cleaned up, I scrapped it.

Sounds like the first moss would be a good tank cleaner in a filter, like living filter floss, lol.

Very interesting to see the land moss going submerged.
 
I guess I may to search this 7 acres and see what I can find lingering around since the thaw too.
