The micros includes EDTA iron. The extra iron is nice if you need it, and is also dpta chelated. Which is better depends on pH, but is a relatively nuanced point.

I am a chemist, so I tend to talk in chemist code sometimes >.<
ummm..... so get the chelated iron right?

I would say no. If you need it later, you can order it.

Also, the basic package is $20, but the iron is $10 more. Not worth it unless you have iron hogs.

I dont know if I do. Like I said I know nothing about fertilizing. I have cobamba, a leafy floating or planting plant, and 2 terrestial but fine underwater plants. I want to add more plants later.

um Im not sure what they are called. They look grassy with white edges. I think its one that people ussually hang in pots.

No its not that one. Same color but the leaves are like a bunch of grass. There is no stem

In that case, it will melt before too long. They always do, but sometimes they linger.
A friend who has had some in her aquarium gave them to me. She has had it awhile from my understanding.
