This is my first time with a planted tank and I have been having some issues.
First off I have a double bright LED putting out 6 watts in a 20 Tall.
My plants currently in the tank are: amazon sword, bacupa, cacomba, and crypts.
The swords are putting out buds and seem to be sprouting but the leaf tips are yellowing. The bacupa started off doing well and now the leaves are turning yellow and dying also. Same problem with the cacomba started off well and now the leaves are melting.
MY routine right now is dousing with flourish twice a week and I added on two 60 watt fluorescent bulbs.
Is it a lighting problem I am having or something else?
Any help would be appreciated.
thanks

You should be dosing Excel...plants need carbon to feed on.
Adding additional light is OK, but you need the right spectrum of light to be beneficial.

Don't be afraid to overdose slightly to what the bottle says. Excel will also keep algae under control.

Two 60 watts is a lot of light. i run two 14 watts on my 20 long. What plants do you have in it?

Correction on the extra light wattage one is 13 and the other is 14.
I have fluorite substrate as a base also.
My water parameters
ammonia is at .25ppm
nitrites are at 5ppm
Will be doing nitrates tomorrow.
Doing a 50% water change atm
tank is going through its first cycle using a friends media
