Can anybody recommend some nice floating plants that would work in a low tech Preferably something commonly sold in lfs

flpting plants

red root floater is good it will help with nitrates plus give your fry if aby a hiding place

Amazon frogbit is a good one, just make sure to keep them away from your filter outtake as they prefer still water.

I have brazilian pennywort. It doesn't grow fast in low light and my betta loves sleeping on its leaves.

Ty for all the responses. Really like the pennywort and red root. Do the need to be anchored. I have a great piece of driftwood that is a hollow log shake that I can't get to sink no matter how much I soak it. Wondering if and of those plants would be good to tie to it.

Floaters need their roots hanging in the water from where they draw their nutrients.
