Flowering Anubias and Java Fern questions.

1. I have a prolific Anubias barteri var. nana which had two flowers. My first "in tank" flowers so that was cool. Now the flowers have "gone by". Do I just leave em to rot or cut them off? I'm guessing you can't collect seed under water.

Unfortunately I moved it to my higher light tank and its getting a fair amount of algae on alot of its leaves. I'll probably move it back to the lower light tank after I get some hair grass or something interesting to fill its spot. It never had much algae in the low light tank, where it should be...

2. Also, I've heard this is normal, but, does anyone know WHY the Java Fern's leaves go transparent on the ends? I'm guessing its new growth that is immature, but does it signify anything? TIA
