Flourite (not flourish, but they're both by SeaChem) is a fine substrate for glosso. I've seen it work. Remember, glosso needs strong light or it will grow vertically instead of horizontally, and CO2 is a must.

Flourite will work. Also, Eco Complete. Eco Complete is my choice, as I prefer its natural look over the slightly artificial color of Flourite and Flourite Red (both of which are red for some reason ). I have both all three substrates, and they all suit my plants well.

Oy. You're right. And I am the spelling police (not that I ever tell others they're wrong... oh, except once when I corrected BrianNY on "potassium permanganate" )

Fluorite, laterite and ecocomplete all will work great.
I PREFER eco complete for 2 reasons
color makes the plants stand out
Does not clod the water or need rinsing

i use sand, and if you surf over to www.plantgeek.com and look at the last few years of aquascaping contests and alot of great tanks featuring glosso use sand. thats just my opinion.
