Green "line" coming out of my java moss!

I'm pretty sure it's not hair algae, unless that is how hair algae looks when it starts to develop. Anyone have any experience with this? Thanks!

I just Googled "thread algae," and it looks like it's thread algae lol Any advice on how to remove such algae?

Got a spare toothbrush? Usually you can just take it and wrap the thread of algae around it and it pulls right off. I've never had to deal with it so I'm not much help on what causes it.
