Well after an unexpected bonus on this weeks paycheck, I finally have enough money to place a relatively large plant order online. The problem is I honestly have no idea what to get other than some micro sword. I really wanted to stay away from crypt wendtii(green, bronze, and red) because I have plenty of it in my other tank and I wanted this one to be different. Any ideas for some good plants that will make my tank look nice?
I'm running a 4 bulb t5ho odyssea light fixture (only running two bulbs into I get my microsword)
The substrate is sand filled with root tabs and I'm gonna be dosing excel for the next month or so until I set up pressurised co2)
Any help will be greatly appreciated

not gonna make any suggestion since i dont really know what you are into plant wise, however once you get pressurized Co2 you should be able to grow whatever you want in combination with that light

You could do dwarf hair grass or baby tears as a carpet, maybe some Ludwigia as foreground. Idk many high-light plants.

I'm open to all plant ideas. Other than the corkscrew vals already planted. I just can't figure out what Would look nice in there. The tank is 60 gallons if it helps. 48x12x24

Are you going to be dosing dry ferts? With your set up you can do alot of plants so here's a list of my favorite plants:

Proserpinaca Palustris

Nesaea pedicellata 'Golden'
Rotala macrandra
Rotala Wallichii
Cabomba Furcata

Anubia Nana Petite
Bolbitus heudelotii
Java Fern, Lace (Microsorium pteropus v. Windelov)
Tiger Lotus, Red (Nymphaea zenkeri)
Baby Tears (Hemianthus micranthemoides)
Dwarf Baby Tears-HC ((Hemianthus callitrichoides)
Didiplis diandra
Heteranthera Stargrass (Heteranthera zosterfolia)
Hydrotriche hottoniiflora
Ludwigia peruensis aka Ludwigia glandulosa
Rotala Magenta
Pogostemon Erectus
Hygrophila Pinnatifida
Hygrophila Balsamica

Thanks for the awesome list!
I'll be dosing dry ferts, I'm definitely really excited to plant this tank!

Many of the plants on that list color up to a nice red/pink/orange/yellow under higher light with low nitrates and higher phosphates.

Finally got my plants in, I went with

Alternanthera reineckii "rosafelia"
Blyxa Japonica
Bolbitus heudoloti
Didipilis diandra
Echinodorus cordifolius
Dwarf hair grass
Heteranthera zosterifolia
Hydrocotyle leucophala
Lobelia cardinalis "small form"

Any suggestions on the scape are very appreciated. I'm not sure how I feel about it just yet.

Personally I'd leave the scape alone until it fills in alot. You can't really judge how the tank/scape will look until then.

I think that piece of wood in the middle would look really cool if you had some moss growing on all the branches.
