Help Planting Discus 55 Gal

Right now i have 2 discus in my 55 gal and i have about 80 watts on the tank so it's about 1.5wpg which i know is mid/low lighting. I'm looking for some plants that will do well in low light to mid light. I'm looking for some type of grasses for the foreground and larger plants in the back ground.

Java fern/moss, crypts and elodea... not sure of any low light "grasses"

About the only grass like plant that I can think of that might work is Dwarf Sag. May or may not have enough light for it.

I have a dual floresent hood. Could i install 2 flourescent VHO bulbs to up my wattage? Can flouresent VHO bulbs go into a regular flourescent housing?
