Hornwort turning brown

I've had hornwort for a while and recently it's turned brown. I'm not sure what it is because it doesn't look like its dying because none of the needles are falling off. Any ideas?

I have 4. For me the bottoms of them all turned brown but only one of them has needles falling off. I think it's from a lack of light.
