How long for lights?

How long should I leave my lights on?
I only have low light plants and am not wondered that they are lacking light.
Also, is it okay to turn my lights off at midday them turn them back on later in the evening?

6-8 hours for planted tanks, timers work best. you can get a timer for your lights and have two 4 hour periods

I do have a timer but I was running for 9 hours.

Hello early...

Most, if not all aquarium plants are tropical and used to long hours of daylight. If you have your lights on timers, set them to be on for between 10 to 14 hours every day. Combine that amount of light and large, frequent water change and provide our fish a varied diet a couple of times a week and you should have a nicely planted tank.
