I have a 100 gallon FW community tank. I don't want algae to become an issue, how many cherry shrimp should I buy? Can I have too many? Do they reproduce like crazy? Thanks!

Cherry shrimp dont eat all algae. Nothing eat all algae. And you probably would still have to feed them. If you have an algae problem, id fix it at the source.
