How to plant plants?

Just got two new plants still in the buckets and I got black sand how do I plant them

Take them out the buckets, remove as much wool from around the roots as you can, plant in your sand leaving the very start of the roots unburied so it doesn't rot. Hope thus helps!

It depends on what you want to plant. Generally speaking, take some tweezers and poke them into the substrate. Don't bury the rhizome of rhizome type plants if that's the case. Some people advocate cutting off excess root, but to each their own.
