Hygrophila in Oscar tank?

Would these kinds of plants withstand a 7 inch oscar if the root system are fully developed and spread throughout the tank? I had some before, but the convicts were exposing the roots which killed it.

Before you say plants are not recommended for Oscars and convicts, I have two Java fern plants that are doing well tied to driftwood. I want to give it another try
 
Probably not because Java ferns are very toug and have strong "grip" on structures. Hydrophilia would get torn apart IMO
 
Doubtful. You could try something like Anubias that's firmly attached to driftwood and it might work. Truth be told most all plants will not work with an Oscar, Java Fern are very hardy and can take a beating and still be okay.
