I give up...the RO system is coming home

My municipal water is intolerable! It's 41.6ppm Ca content left my plants Boron starved. Now that I've added boron they look worse than before. It looks like I'll have to set up that Reverse osmosis system again and get myself some more Controllable water. In the meantime it's time to get a new Ca kit...
 
RO water is definitely the way to go. Sorry your city water sucks, but at least you have the ability to get around it!
 
R/O system is the only way to go. Get at least a 4 stage system.
 
i believe i know several people in Houston using tap water for their planted tank with out any problems.
 
Different municipalities have different water sources. Here in Bellaire we get 49% well water and 51% surface waters. Most other regions use more surface water which has less minerals in it.
