I've had this Red Sea Flora Base substrate for about a year now, over time I've acquired these snails randomly. I always assumed they were Malaysian Trumpet snails but I want to know if anyone else can give me a definite answer.

They live under the substrate and only come out when I feed at night before the lights go out.

There are thousands of them. The biggest ones are about 1/2"ImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1404961707.171029.jpgImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1404961719.871652.jpg

Yep they look and seem to act like mts. They are actually pretty useful to tanks with sand or small grained substrates.
