I plan to create a back-ground made entirely from Hornwort. I have play-sand as a substrate, and I was wondering what works as a anchoring method. Thanks for your help.

Sand normally serves fine as an anchor. But if you're having trouble, try to get some lead plant weights. I have a dozen or so I've kept after purchasing bunched plants.

Just like crepe said, if your sand is deep enough it will hold as the roots take hold. Or, you can use weights, small rocks (cleaned) work well too.

the part that you put under the sand will rot though. personally there are better options then hornwort. it does better in ponds since out of the blue it can melt and make a mess.
