Identify that plant?

This thing came with my banana plant, what is it and will it grow if I leave it? Not the roots of the banana plant but the thing in the roots of it.

Appears to be a partial cabomba leaf. Yes, it *might* grow. If you see a root starting to grow from the base of the leaf then that is a good sign.
