Intake and output location

So, after a long debate with myself i have decided to rescape my 72 bowfront and reuse the drift wood, rocks, and plants (and add a few news ones) because i donít really care for the way my current scape turned out. The idea i have is to have the layout be like a large triangle where the plants go from tall on the left and short to the right.

So the question is how should i place the filter intake and out take for the flow? I would like to place the intake on left with the tall plants and have the plant hide it... but i am not sure if that will be an issue with it cleaning the water. (It will probably be behind my melon sword). As for the out take, i have had the best luck with the outtake placed on the same side as the intake and i have 2 power heads i can place around the tank, but i would like your thoughts on the matter

No I havenít. Im thinking of putting the intake on the side with plants but am not sure if the plants will block the water from being sucked into the filter

I just hide mine with plants and leave a few inches gap.
