Is this normal?

My anubias nana just flowered this weekend. Is it supposed to look like this? It's kind of droopy. How long do they last?ImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1409089516.441559.jpg
The actual flower isn't white, it's yellow/green.
 
I've seen a bunch of this in others' tanks. Supposedly its normal and actually a very good sign.

It'll last a week for so until it starts to decay. At that point I'd remove it.

The flower and the attached stem. The whole thing will eventually just break off the plant as it begins to decay.
