I have a 75 gal tank. I started out with 2 small vallisneria plants. Now I have about 4 and the issue I'm having with this plant is it keeps growing along the top of the water. Do I trim it back. It drives me crazy if I need to do something in the tank. I'm constantly having to move these and unwind them for other plants. Please advise me of what to do. I really like the plants.

We cut ours back every so often so that our other plants can get some light.

Val's are pretty invasive. Just keep trimming them back every week when you water change. Not really much you can do to make it not grow lol.

Yep you just gotta keep trimming them back. Some people just leave them to grow and have their leaves form like a canopy.
