Those are baby plants. They'll grow off the mother leaf for a while than detach when ready..cool stuff

Roots for a plantlet that is forming. You'll see tiny leaves appear soon and when they get to be about an inch long, they should pull of the original leaf fairly easy, and you will have a new Fern! The leaf from which they are growing may start dying off, but you'll want to leave it until you can remove the new plant.
