Java Fern Help

Im at the stage of my planted aquarium where im ready to clone some java fern.

Their got a main stem which is now reaching the top of my tank and growing roots at each intersection of the stem now. should i shorten the stem down to the second intersection and only use the top of the plant or should i remove the whole stem and use all 5 of them.

The pic isnt the best but those who know java fern will see it

heres a few pics the one in the first pic hasnt grown but the other 2 are getting larger and larger every day and should i wait till their larger

That's not a java fern. It looks like a sword runner. Weigh the runner down and the daughter plants will take root.

realy dosnt suprise me tho they are right next to the java fern in the store dunno what should i use just a rock or will my sand hold it and would they die if i where to cut them

If they have roots developing you can cut them and replant them. If not then use a rock or the sand to hold them down until they grow roots.

awsome they look awsome so il cut the top one off plant it let the others grow suspended then cut and burry thanks alot

ok so iv cut it and put it in pots with gravel didnt have any room left so their all over the place thiers seven all up and all from the one plant theirs one in my brakish bumble bee goby tank
