Java fern question

Just a quick question...
On the back of one of the leaf of my java fern there is 3 little "legs" stuck together growing... It looks like mini roots and it's green.

What is that ??

Hard to say by your description, but it could be the rhizome branching out.

It is very common for Java Fern to grow 'adventitious' plantlets from mature leaves. When the plantlets get large enough you can separate them and plant the new babies.
