I know that Java's are mainly leaf feeders than root feeders but would a root tab help it??

Java fern grows notoriously slow compared to most plants. Root tabs aren't necessary but fertilizers in the water stream as well as a carbon supplement can help speed up growth quite a bit. Are you currently using any ferts and if so what kind and how often? Any other specifics you can provide about your tank will be helpful as well.

The java fern is In a 1.5 gallon tank and i use API root tabs for the hair grass in there.It is a empty tank at the moment but I will be getting ghost shrimp soon.
