If I were to get java moss to hook to 1 rock if I stick that rock in an aquarium full of rocks will it take root and spread to all the various rocks or will I have to net each one individually? Im trying to tweak some of my breeding tanks to better protect the fry if a group drops before Im ready.

it will spreed and attach its self as it goes. i have had some attach its self to some algae on the side of the tank. java moss is a great fry saver. what kind of fish are you breeding? some floaters like water lettuce is another good one.
