java moss?......

u tie it to anything. wood ornaments rocks whatever u want. i use fishing line since it is invisible and doesnt rot underwater. just tie it down to whatever u want and it will catch hold and grow like crazy. here is my tank since i just did it and used alot of java moss.
if u enlarge this pic u can see the string holding it on to the driftwood.

here is the whole tank with the java tied to the rock and driftwood peices. i have christmas moss attached to the pot.

You can tie it to rocks/driftwood using cotton string or fishing line. Eventually the moss will take hold.

I have some Taiwan moss held down with a few small pieces of gravel. It's starting to attach itself to the substrate.
 
I have java moss in the betta tanks .... it just sort of "sits there" - I didn't tie it down at all. Everyone once in awhile (weeks) I just ball it up a little bit so it doesn't take up too much room. (information provided for those too lazy to tie down plants ! like ME ! LOL)
