light bulb what's the best?

Hi mate bulbs at up for renewing, what is the best brand type? My tank is heavily planted so what is Ur thoughts? Tried n tested?

It depends on your fixture. I like my Flora-Glo bulbs. Giesman's are good to from what I've heard.

Oh okay. I like my Flora-Glo bulbs, and AquaSun makes good ones too. Giesmanns I've heard makes good ones as well.

The aquaflora is a little pinkish, so make sure that you're ok with that, or that you get the midday to offset the pink. I run half and half. On my two bulb fixtures, it's one of each. On my 4 bulb fixtures, it's 2 of each. Works out very well IMO.

What size tanks do u run each set up on?

20l, 29, 40b, 150. The small tanks have 2 bulb fixtures, so one of each. The 150 has two 4 bulb fixtuers, so 4 of each.

Do you have a source for buying multiple geissmans? They are like $25-30+ everywhere I look, not sure if I feel like dropping $75 on light bulbs for one fixture.

Unfortunately, no I caught a coupon code for aquacave, and their bulb shipping is the cheapest I've found. They were about $25 each IIRC

I only run 2 x 39w on my 45gallon with reflectors do u think that is enough?
