Yes incandescent bulbs definitely heat the water up. Any amount of light has the potential to cause algae, but it's typically less of an issue with less light intensity.
Don't overfeed fish, keep good water quality, PWCs weekly and you'll have less chance of algae. I have almost zero Algae.
My plants out compete it and my Otos and Nerites keep walls clean.
