I too am interested in this, since I'm setting up my 6 gallon edge. There's a lot of people who've done cool light mods for it, but I was thinking about maybe getting a short Finnex Stingray to just sit on top. Not quite as elegant as some of the other solutions, probably. But I guess right now it's right next to me hobby desk which has swingarm lamps with Ott lightbulbs, so I can just supplement the stock light with those.
