i have two of these "high output" bulbs in a fixture above a moderately planted 29 gallon aquarium. i have seachem's flourite as the substrate. i'm not using any CO2 at the moment, and i'm not adding any additives for the plants until my water conditions stop fluctuating so much.
both bulbs are 24" and consume 24W. the life-glo is rated at 6700k while the power-glo is rated 18,000k.
should i swap one of the bulbs and have two of one kind? which bulb is the better bet for dealing with the light for my plants?
at the moment, and i don't know if it's because of the plants, but the light seems to have a very greenish tint.
