List of low-light plants :)

I have a 15 gallon/18 US gallon/65 litre tank with a 15 watt 'daylight' light and no CO2 and no fertilisers. I was wondering if anyone knew of some low-light plants that I'd be able to keep with this light? Floating, rhizome, bulb, stem - anything. Thank you!

Three that work in general, are Anubias, Java Fern, and some Cryptocorynes. Java Moss is another. Some Vals will also work.

I think the most beginner and easiest plant to grow would have to be anacharis(sp?)

Are root tabs expensive? And how do I use them? Would it be cheaper to use liquid ferts or root tabs?

If you plant swords or crypts you'll need Root tabs AND liquid plant food. Unless you have AquaSoil or other nutrient rich

Call you LFS for price or buy online. There are lots of brands.

Or make your own
DIY Root Tabs
aka
DIY Fert-Cicles.
Osmocote Plus from hardware store or nursery
+ Ice Tray
+ Tank Water

Fill trays 1/2 way with Fert
Fill trays with tank water
Freeze

Bury deep under or near Crypts and Swords or struggling plants. You don't need to put one per plant. Space them about 6" apart I think ??

I use O+ in my tanks. Got a RAOK of O+ root caps, gel capsules. They work great.
